All classwork will be in Schoology in case a student has to be absent for any reason. 

I will use School Status to send reminders about upcoming assignments and to contact parents.  This is also a great way to communicate with me.  I also check my email consistently if you prefer to use that method to communicate.

Education

I graduated from Delta State University with a BBA and a major in accounting.  I worked for many years in the corporate world and then chose to change my profession to teaching. I completed the Mississippi Alternate Path Training and began teaching 19 years ago.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts - Early Adolescence.

Bio

I have lived in Mississippi my whole life except for the four years that I lived in Oklahoma. I currently reside in Olive Branch.  My husband is the the Minister of Education and Administration at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church in Olive Branch.  We have two sons who are both graduates of LHS. I teach a ladies' Sunday school class at my church and sing in the alto section of our choir. My favorite activities are singing and going to the beach.
