Hi!  I'm Shirley Ramsay.  I teach 6th grade math.  This is my 28th year to teach and my 12th year at LMS.  I have been married for 31 years to the world's sweetest husband. We have two daughters.  Our youngest is in college and our oldest is a 1st grade teacher. We share our home in Memphis with 2 spoiled cats, Addie, who does not have a tail, and Chloe Belle, who is full of boundless energy.  Our family loves cooking, playing, reading,  and hanging out together. We attend First Congregational United Church of Christ in Memphis. 

I graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University in May, 1990. (Go 'Dawgs!!!!) I have been fortunate to teach in New Albany, MS; Navasota, TX; Horn Lake, MS; and Lewisburg, MS. One of my proudest professional moments was being named the DeSoto County 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year. I have a passion for my students and for teaching.  My goal is to teach another 25 years!  I've been blessed to work with incredible students and amazing teachers throughout my career.  I am looking forward to many more years teaching the best students in the world!
