Welcome

Hello, I just wanted to give you a quick update (read below) and let you all know that I miss you all and I hope everyone is staying healthy!

During this challenging time, we here at LMS are currently working on ways to ensure all of our students have access to an education.  Please continue to monitor teacher websites for additional information.  We will also be utilizing SchoolStatus and Remind to send out messages of updates as we have them.

For information on your students assignments, tests, or projects, please visit the webpages of the individual teachers.

Bio

I am honored to be in my third year as a special education teacher at the #1 middle school in Mississippi!  I have been married to my husband, Bob for 20 years and we have two children, Jacob a freshman at Northwest Community College and Lauren a junior at Lewisburg High School.

I received my Bachelor degree from Webster University in Business Administration.   I worked for several years in the Human Resource field and then numerous years for Barnes Hospital, focusing on process improvements.

My husband's job took us to Suffolk, VA, which is where I started my education career tutoring ELL students in reading and writing.  After moving to Mississippi with my family, my husband and I volunteered at Lewisburg Middle School coaching the volleyball team.

After volunteering, I was offered a position as a paraprofessional and I realized how much I missed working with students, especially the students that needed a little more help.  I went back to school and earned my teaching certificate and chose Special Education because I wanted to work more one on one or with smaller groups of students.
