Bio

I am honored to be in my 7th year as a special education teacher at the #1 middle school in Mississippi!  I moved to Olive Branch in 2014.  I have 2 children, Jacob and Lauren, and two dogs, Gunner and Moocher.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and coaching competitive volleyball in my spare time.

I received my Bachelor degree from Webster University in Business Administration.   I worked for several years in the Human Resource field and then numerous years for Barnes Hospital, focusing on process improvements.

My career in education started when I had the opportunity to start tutoring ELL students in reading and writing.  After moving to Mississippi with my family, I volunteered at Lewisburg Middle School coaching the volleyball team.

After volunteering, I was offered a position as a paraprofessional and I realized how much I missed working with students, especially the students that needed a little more help.  I went back to school and earned my teaching certificate and chose Special Education because I wanted to work more one on one or with smaller groups of students.
