Hi, my name is Kacy McMurry, and I teach 6th grade ELA at Lewisburg Middle (GO, PATS!) I love all things English, and I love all of my students. I've taught middle school ELA my whole career, and I started up a broadcasting program in the middle school level in the past, which I led for 5 years before coming to LMS. I have also been a mentor-teacher for the University of Mississippi, and enjoyed assisting Education majors on the last year of their student-teaching journeys. This is my *ELEVENTH* year teaching English, and I am so excited to continue my career for the sixth year in a row here at the 'Burg.

A few things about me: I graduated from OBHS in 2006 & attended the University of Mississippi, receiving the Elementary Education student of the year when I graduated. I am highly qualified to teach English and Science K-12. I am married to my wonderful husband, Tyler, and we live in Nesbit with our beautiful two year old daughter, and our sweet black lab, June.  I am also a NASM certified personal trainer.

I love all things peanut butter, reading, writing, Starbucks, road trips, working out, and spring/summertime! 

I'm here for each and every one of my students, and have a passion for seeing growth throughout the year. I have always said that once you are my student, you always will be, and I truly mean that.  It is my utmost priority to prepare my students, not only for 7th grade, but for the future and for life.
