I'm so excited to be back in school, and I hope you are too!  First thing to do...RELAX! Take a deep breathe and know that we will have a great (different) year.  I'm going to do my best to make this year a fabulous experience for you.  Please refer to Schoology link for specific classroom information.  Parents, you may use the "contact" link below to communicate with me or go through Schoology.

This year will start quite differently, students will not have access to lockers. All their belongings will be carried with them throughout the day. Keeping that in mind, please leave any unnecessary items at home.  Items to bring, in addition to requested supplies, are a device, the larger the screen the better, water bottle, jacket/sweater, and wear a mask.

JOY (noun) ~ gladness or happiness not based on life's circumstances.

Greet each day knowing it has the ability to fill us with great possibilities and hidden JOY!

About the teacher

I graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2010 upon completing my degree in Elementary Education.  I am highly qualified to teach Elementary Education, 7-12 English and 7-12 Mathematics.

My teaching experience began at Desoto Central Elementary in 2010 - 2011 with third grade.  I then moved to Overpark Elementary where I taught third grade for six years and fourth grade for three years.  I began my middle school experience in 2019 at Lewisburg Middle. August of 2020 will begin my 11th year of teaching.

I am a long time resident of Olive Branch.  Attended Olive Branch High School and continued to Northwest for an Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising.  While staying home with my children, I decided to return to school and obtain my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Allow me to introduce my family.  I have been married twenty-six years to my husband, Raymond.  We have two wonderful children, Katie and Dawson and a daughter in law, Anna.  Katie will be a freshman at University of Mississippi.  Also included in my family are two furry babies; our dog Drake, and our cat Calie.  Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, Ole Miss ballgames, reading, and gardening.

I'm excited to be your child's teacher.  I have a passion for helping students grow in their knowledge and develop their love of learning.
