TEACHING/CONDUCTING EXPERIENCE

Lewisburg Middle Schoo - Choir Conductor, August 2017- present

Center Hill Elementary School - Music Teacher, August 2009 - May 2017

Teach music to over 750 students in grades K-5. Produce a musical with each grade level, and provide instruction in

singing, playing instruments, and reading music.

Houston Middle School - Chorus Teacher, August 2008 - May 2009

Helped students better comprehend and appreciate a variety of vocal arts including sacred, classical, folk, popular

and ethnic. The choir performed a fall concert followed by a Christmas concert with the band, then a spring

concert in a local church. They also provided music for various school functions.

The Miracles - Musical Assistant, January 2008- August 2008

The Miracles Choir is comprised of residents from the Baddour Center, a residential living facility for adults with

intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities included conducting rehearsals and performances, setting up and running

sound equipment, overseeing the operation of tours, and attending to the individual well being of choir members.

Como Opera Guild, August 2005 - November 2007

Participated in touring performances of children’s opera in northern Mississippi. Introduced children to the world

of opera through formal performances and informal question and answer sessions.

Private Voice Studio, 2004-present

Taught private voice lessons to high school students. Educated students in proper vocal production and healthy

technique, selected music appropriate for each singer, and assisted each singer in developing performance skills.

PERFORMING EXPERIENCE

Selected Church and Choral Music Experience

• Served as a paid tenor section leader and soloist in choirs from Arizona to Mississippi from 1997 to present.

• Performed with the Ole Miss Concert Singers (Tenor Section Leader), Men’s Glee, and Early Music Ensemble.

• Worked as the tenor section leader for Conspirare, a professional choir based out of Austin, Texas.

Selected Opera/Oratorio Experience

• Sung for various performing arts companies across the nation, including Arizona Opera Company, New Texas

Music Works, Como Opera Guild, and the Pine Bluff Symphony. Selected engagements include: Messiah (tenor

soloist), Many Moons (Jester) Pagliacci (Conio), Little Red Riding Hood (Wolf), and Gallantry (Donald).

Selected Musical Theater Experience:

• Sung for various companies across the nation, including Austin Musical Theater, Pine Bluff Arts and Science

Center, Zilker Summer Theater, Second Youth Theater, and the El Dorado Arts Center. Selected engagements

include: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Eddie), Beauty and the Beast (Lefou), Man of La Mancha (Padre),

Chicago (Amos Hart), Oklahoma (Will Parker), Anything Goes (Billy), and South Pacific (Lt. Cable).

Ten time 1st place winner in State and Regional competitions ranging from Arizona to Mississippi.

Bio

Hi, my name is Christian Feazell. I am excited to be the choir director at Lewisburg Middle School. I earned a Master of Music degree at the University of Mississippi in December of 2007. I am a ten time winner in the vocal competition NATS (National Association for Teachers of Singers). I currently serve as the North MS chair for the fifth and sixth grade All-State Honor Choir. I perform regularly with Rhodes Master Singers, Hernando united Methodist Church Choir and the professional mens chamber group BealeCanto. My wife, Catherine Feazell, is the choir conductor at Center Hill High School and we reside together in Olive Branch with our son Canon.
